This is the English edition of a Japanese site covering 214 warlords and 44 battles. The English pages are not translations: they are written for readers approaching the Sengoku period from outside Japan, often through games, films or dramas, and they explain the background a Japanese reader would already have.
Where the historical record is uncertain, we say so. Where a famous story comes from Edo-period literature or modern fiction rather than from contemporary sources — the Sanada Ten Braves, the rotating volleys at Battle of Nagashino, the single combat at Battles of Kawanakajima — we mark it as such rather than repeating it as fact.
The English edition currently covers 30 people and 15 battles. More will follow. The full Japanese site, with every warlord, battle and relationship, is linked in the footer.
