These Terms of Service (the "Terms") define the conditions for using the app "ComiLog" (the "App") provided by the developer (the "Developer"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 1 (Overview)

• The App is a personal app for recording and managing books, comics, and similar media purchased by the user.
• The App is intended for reference and note management purposes; the Developer does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information.

Article 2 (User Data)

• Registered data (series information, images, volume counts, tags, notes, statuses, etc.) is primarily stored on the user's device. If the user invokes an online feature or backup, data needed for that feature is sent to an external service.
• The Developer assumes no responsibility for data loss caused by device failure, app deletion, OS changes, update failures, or similar events.
• Users are encouraged to regularly use the backup feature to save their data.

Article 3 (Data Handling)

• User-registered book information and images are primarily managed on the device. Images are not transmitted externally unless the user explicitly performs a backup.
• After the Terms are accepted, the App collects usage statistics and crash information through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) to improve the service. Book titles, author names, notes, and images are not sent as Analytics event parameters. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for details.
• When using the automatic book information retrieval feature via barcode scan or ISBN entry, the ISBN code is sent to external APIs (OpenBD, Google Books). This communication only occurs when the user uses the feature.
• When the user runs an online search, release-date lookup, or missing-title request, search terms, the relevant title, and app or device information may be sent to NDL Search, Google Books, or Google Forms.
• Image selection and storage is performed only on the device and is not shared with third parties.
• Personally identifiable information such as names and email addresses is not collected.

Article 4 (Use of External Services)

• The App uses the following external services, and the privacy policies of each service apply.

Article 5 (Affiliate Programs)

• The App participates in the Rakuten Affiliate Program and the Amazon Associates Program.
• Tapping a purchase link marked "PR" on the series detail, To Buy, or For You screens will direct you to a search page on Rakuten Books or Amazon.co.jp via a URL that includes the developer's affiliate ID or associate tag.
• Links to Rakuten Books pass through the Rakuten Affiliate tracking redirect (hb.afl.rakuten.co.jp).
• If a user makes a purchase on those sites, the developer may receive an affiliate commission. No additional cost is passed on to the purchaser.
• Browsing and purchasing on those sites is subject to the privacy policy and terms of service of the Rakuten Group or Amazon.

Article 6 (Advertising)

• The App may use advertising banners (Google AdMob) for revenue purposes.
• Information collected in relation to advertisements is subject to Google's policies.
• The content and frequency of advertisements may change without notice.

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

• The Developer assumes no responsibility for any damage arising from the use of this App.
• The specifications of this App may be changed or discontinued without notice.
• The Developer does not guarantee that this App will always operate normally or that no errors will occur.
• OS updates or other changes may cause this App to stop working properly.
• The Developer does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of book information retrieved from external APIs (OpenBD, Google Books, etc.).

Article 8 (Prohibited Conduct)

Users must not engage in the following conduct.

• Unauthorized access, decompilation, or other analysis of the App
• Using the App for illegal purposes
• Acts that violate public order, morals, or applicable laws
• Acts that interfere with the normal operation of the App

Article 9 (Intellectual Property)

• All intellectual property rights relating to this App belong to the Developer.
• Copyright in data registered by the user (images, text, etc.) belongs to the user.

Article 9-2 (Copyright of Book Covers and Similar Material)

• The App provides a feature for photographing book covers for the purpose of book management and storing them only on the user's device.
• Copyright, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights contained in photographed and stored book covers and images belong to the respective publishers and rights holders.
• If a user publicly discloses, distributes, or posts images photographed and stored in the App to social media or other platforms, it is the user's own responsibility to comply with copyright law and other applicable laws.
• The Developer is not involved in the content of images photographed and stored by the user or the manner in which such images are used, and assumes no responsibility for disputes arising between the user and third parties regarding such images.
• The App stores images only on the device and does not upload them to servers or register them in databases.
• When a user publicly posts screenshots of this App to social media, it is strongly recommended to take care not to unduly harm the rights holders' interests, such as by blurring book covers.

Article 10 (Changes to Terms)

• These Terms may be changed as necessary.
• Continued use of the App after changes are made will be deemed acceptance of the updated Terms.
• In the event of significant changes, we will notify users within the App or on the website.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

• These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with Japanese law.
• Any disputes relating to this App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Developer's place of residence.
